A software developer with a wider working history than one tidy lane.

I prefer keeping the full span visible: scientific software, public plugin maintenance, electronics bench work, community operations, and the routines that keep systems useful over time.

I'm Omer Oreg (sarhatabaot), a software developer based in Israel.

My day job is writing software for the LAST survey telescope and ULTRASAT space mission at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Outside of that, I maintain a handful of open-source Minecraft plugins and build the occasional civic-tech project.

I have also spent time running a Minecraft network, soldering electronics professionally, and working in bookstores for about five years. The range is deliberate. I prefer keeping the full span visible instead of trimming everything down to a single neat lane.
